This has been our special go-to place for terrific dinners for many years. In the past nine months, we have found them very consistent is handling indoor dining safely and we have trusted them by eating there. But in the last month, we have started to use their take-out service. They are top-notched in this area also. We live many miles from the restaurant, but when we get home everything is still hot and the order is always correct. Thank you, Johnny’s, for still being there for an excellent dinner in these difficult times!

Johnny's is a longtime Reno favorite. Fabulous food, friendly professional staff & yummy cocktails. Lemon Drop & Basil martinis are a must if you like handcrafted cocktails ud83dudc4dud83dudc4d

Definitely a treat to visit in Reno. Service was great and the food choices were vast. This place is more fine dining and less family-style Italian. With that in mind, we really enjoyed the couple of drinks and dishes we ordered. Everything looked immaculate, portions were fair, and everything tasted pretty good. Nothing was spectacular, though. The dessert was similar - looked great but tasted good. Personally, my biggest dig was the cost for it all. For that money, there are better places in Reno and Tahoe to visit.

Absolutely loved my experience here, I was lucky enough to get a same night reservation (website advises 24hours in advance, and they were about full for the night when I called). Ruby, our server, was fantastic. I loved my wines (only thing to note about their wine selection is the majority must be ordered as a whole bottle, with a limited amount of glass options, but I still loved both of my glass selections). My pesto gnocchi was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The antipasti platter was great, I don’t even usually like tomatoes but the heirloom slices that the mozzarella was on was paired so perfectly that it was amazing. I only wish I had saved room for dessert to try! But it was also past their closing time so I didn’t want to burden them on waiting on us (they did NOT pressure us at all though, they didn’t mention it being past closing and offered the dessert menu to us, I almost always have to ask for dessert menu at restaurants). 10/10, would recommend, I live 2.5-3 hours away and I’d dine here again. It might take awhile, but I will.
