The Great Park in West Reno for walking and hiking. Robbie the Rat Dog loves it! There are many trails and good areas to hike. You can pick a trail that's fairly flat, or there are some good-sized hills to climb. Make sure you take plenty of water. There are a few Sani-Huts in the area, but no water. Plenty of free parking, and overflow lots to the east

Nice to take a long hike along the Truckee River. Beautiful view. Many areas for a picnic and nice to bring your pet along.

Lots of nice grassy areas. Walking path that follows the river that is usually pretty clean. Great place to start floating the Truckee.
