This park is great. One of the best in Reno. It has killer views of Reno, plenty of jungle gyms, big large grass areas. ud83dude00 they keep it really clean. There are several structures and countless picnic tables.nnThere is a dog park connected on the north side. Anybody wanting a good sense of Reno, check out this park.nnNormally there is plenty of parking but on event day this place is a madhouse.
Ahhhmazing place for people of all walks of life, people of all ages and their beloved dogs. I particularly love the dog park, for there are 40 fenced in acres (except for the entrances) for your dog to run. There are a few playgrounds for your kiddos and many trails for all. The trails take you to a couple of cool finds: a small pond, an abandoned roller coaster and an old ranch that still houses some rabbits and turkeys. There's a museum, picnic areas and other things that I'm forgetting. The events there have always been great as well.
This park is one of Reno's treasures. It is a huge park with trails, playgrounds, a few animals, a museum, and an Arboretum.
The disc golf course is alright. It's an open 18 hole course. Lots of rocks on the ground so play with your hardest plastic! Also play with your most stable disc because every time I go there's a consistent headwind. Also this course is suitable for players with a strong arm that can throw over 350', which is not me haha. Otherwise it's a fun course. It's set up on mostly the short pins but ya still have to throw pretty far for most of the holes. Tee pads are short and rubber, seating at every hole. No trashcans or restrooms. Port a potty at the end of the parking lot.
This was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. I wasn't able to see it in its entirety but it was such a lovely place that I would definitely come back again and see the rest of it. The dog park was great for the dog to roam and seeing all the ducks was relaxing.
