24 Hour Fitness

Excellent for a 24 Hour Fitness. Real metal dumbbells up to 160 lbs and various free weight areas throughout the gym. Good selection of machines and equipment you usually don't see at 24 Hour Fitness will definitely return if in Reno again.

I cancelled my membership in-person on a Sunday because I had not used the gym in six months. We joined primarily to use the pool and it was closed or too dirty to use most of the times we visited. This gym is nice enough if you don't care about the pool.nnThe rep at the front desk took my information and said the manager would process on Monday. The next month I got a charge on my credit card. I called the gym and they said they were undergoing a change in management and it would be cancelled next month and that they couldn't do anything about the charge. I contested the charge with my credit card and then started getting calls from collections. I explained the situation to collections, repeatedly, and they said I would have to cancel the membership with member services and that I would still need to pay for this month. I'm leaving this review in hopes that it gets this gym's attention and they resolve the situation by ensuring my membership is cancelled, that my account has a zero balance, and that I am not contacted by their collections department again. What a headache.nnEdit: bumping up one star because my mailed letter to corporate got someone's attention and everything was quickly taken care of after that.

Great gym in South Reno right off 395 with lots of parking, having had trained here for years when I was younger, I look back and miss a big nice 24 hour fitness. This place has it all, from a pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, a large cardio deck, multi fitness room and a massive free weight and machine flow. Everything is clean, the staff is held to a standard and the cost is minimal for all that you get. Try moving to a small town, where there is no competition to make business see and understand how to maintain a high quality product.

I have to go to both 24 hr fitness to get a complete workout... elliptical machines are challenged to say the least and there are none at this location... The staff is friendly

First impressions are everything:nnI’m an LA Fitness Member testing the waters because of national coverage. I walk in with a 3-day free pass and the first thing the young man at the counter says is “Ok... and then what?”... fairly premature, being that I just walked in.nnI get passed over to Lisa, and to make it short - I’m typing my birthday into the registration and she mentions her birthday is 2 weeks before mine (12/23) I say how my birthday is an unfortunate time of year and she says “Sure, if your parents didn’t like you.” I go on to tell her I’m with LA Fitness and I’m shopping other gyms - she goes on to tell me how she’s upset with them an she’s going to report them to the FCC etc. ud83dude44nnON A POSITIVE NOTE!! I went back the next day and met Shay! She was about the nicest woman I’ve ever met, she took the time to walk me around, showed me their awesome outdoor setup... with a smile! Shout out to Shay! She’s the reason I gave an extra star on this review!nnThe following day Lisa was there again, she looked like she was miserable. No smile, no greeting, no eye contact. After I was done with the workout I walk past the front desk and she’s leaning on the desk, looking at we phone “Bye Lisa, have a good night” she glances up “You too” and back to her phone.nnThe equipment is standard for most gyms. The building seems old. Only thing that could set this gym apart would be a welcoming, friendly staff.
