It's cool, but don't make this a major event of your day since it only lasts 30 seconds. It is not well marked on the road, but the Google point is accurate. Pay attention to the road (heading eastbound) and you can see where the road cutouts start that create the song. At 45-50 mph you can 100% tell what the song is and that's pretty good. Worth a 15 minute detour, but that's probably about it.
IT IS THERE! There is a pattern of grooves after the Pass With Care sign. You need to be going East. It is hard to see when you are driving but it IS there. It’s barely left of the white line. You need to go 45 mph on the grooves. You need to get it perfect to hear it. But there is no signs showing the musical highway. It’s choppy but you can kinda hear it.
Super disappointed. No signs as to where this is at once you get off the highway. We had to circle back a couple times and use Google maps to pinpoint. And then we were surprised it was only on the one lane; not both. You could hear it. You think they would paint a marker in the road; put up a sign or something- especially since they had a huge one on Hwy 40.
I heard a lot of the song! You have to do it just right and it definitely takes a few tries but when you get it right, you can hear a lot. It is around mile marker 5, well before this, set your cruise control and get your right passenger tire to the right. There was no traffic and you can easily turn around and go as much as you want.
Yes! There is still a section of the music there! We went today and drove over it twice. It's right after mile marker 4. Make sure your right tires are close to the white line, but not over. Stay in your lane, and go 45 mph. Have fun!
