Pretty amazing work of ingenuity and creativity, a great stop on a Turquoise Trail drive. A testament to a person of doing their own thing and transforming the world around them with their imagination. The affordable tickets grant you admission to a dream, which is kind of amazing. A lot of people are visiting Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, but without the funding or fabrication teams the creator busily completed his own version of another world. Which while unique and his own is part of a 'roadside' tradition that even Meow Wolf itself is cousin to in America. More similar to Tinker Town, somewhat, is Bishop's Castle in Colorado, the DIY quality of it. When we stopped it wasn't surprising they also knew Jim Bishop. They also have a ~40 foot sailboat that, if I recall correctly, sailed around the world just sitting there on display in a different section. While I only briefly walked through that part, it is amazing how many times that boat has come up in conversation since, this mythical boat in the middle of the Great American Desert. A highlight is also the animatronic fortune teller, think of the one in the movie 'Big' with Tom Hanks. I have seen these before, but they're always cheaper, newer, and far less creepy. Unique items in the gift shop too. Thanks very much!
