Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (Gran Quivira unit)

Stopped by during COVID 19 was able to see the ruins without others crowding about. Just a beautiful site. Thank you New Mexico!

I love how quiet it is and when you go when it opens you have it to yourself for hours.nnThe place is clean and has flushable toilets.nThe rangers know the history and are friendly.nnHighly recommend this place along with the other ruins on the Salt mission trail.

Both Quarai and Gran Quivira Mission Ruins were FANTASTIC! The history of this area is AMAZING. The work that went into creating these structures is mind boggling. WELL WORTH a visit! The Gran Quivira site is HUGE... The Quarai Mission site is VERY impressive as well. The Rangers, at both sites, were VERY knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

The place is awesome...nice trails, well marked walkways to visit the grounds.

I went with my son, and it was nice being the only people there.
