I wanted to give it 1 star so thousands of people don't come here. But i can't lie. This is THE BEST PICNIC SPOT IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO! They've pet friendly trails, horse friendly trails & even people friendly trails. There's also an AMAZING nature trail for the disabled. Picnic tables with grills. Restrooms. We love it! ud83dudc98

Cienega Picnic Area and Trail are absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We kept going to Doc Long Picnic Area without realizing that less than a mile away, a gorgeous spot offered a stream of water for children and pets to play with. Highly recommend the spot! We plan on going back as much as we can.

One of my favorite quick get aways from the hustle and bustle of the city. Always so relaxing to take a picnic up the canyon.

Plenty of parking and gorgeous drive and the grounds look cleaned and maintained. We are already planning to go back.
