Red Cloud Campground

What a peaceful place! We showed up late, and all of the only 5 campsites were taken... so we found a little corner and camped for the night. It was so quiet here at night, and so many stars in the sky!

Quiet, free, wind protected, but very poor cell signal with Verizon. Beautiful pine forest camping, with a flock of wild turkeys co.ing thru every day. But there are free roaming cattle so watch your step.

Nice little hideaway. Not sure what others are talking about with creepiness or darkness, it's perfectly fine! Much easier drive getting into the site if you minimize time on the forest road.

Area seemed nice until I got out of my car. There are massive swarms of huge flies everywhere in this part of Cibola (due to all the free range cattle). I couldn't stand it so I left and will not be going back again (only place in the state I can say that about since moving here).
