A calm clean beautiful area for camping grilling hiking a perfect place for the whole entire family.

Cool in summer. Bear safe dumpsters and storage. Clean vault toilet, well stocked. Lots of shade. Quite busy on weekends but plenty space between sites. Almost empty during the week.

It was very nice up there there was a lot of shade trees and it was quiet and very cool.

I just did a day hike, but it's a beautiful area.

Some great hikes to be done out of this trailhead. I would recommend going up Red Canyon and down either Ox Canyon or Spruce Spring; it's great cardio going up, easier on the joints going down gradual. Wonderful scenery.
