Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Remote and quiet place from the city. Great view the mountain and wildlife that lived there. Hard to see antelope and moose but I'm sure during the right season you can see them roaming the area. Definitely check Walden and the nearby area. The wildlife drive/tour is worth it.

The visitor center was not open today but we talk to the Ranger and she allowed us to borrow a scope for duck ponds. The nature walk is very nice. I think we were there at the wrong time for active moose.

Great stop! We did the 6 mile Auto loop and saw many bird species. I think the best time to come is fall or spring in the morning or evening, but we went in summer mid day and still enjoyed ourselves very much.

Very well-maintained area with plenty of wildlife - especially moose and fowl!

Visited as part of Christmas Bird Count. It was the weekend so no buildings were open, unfortunately. We did encounter very helpful and welcoming staff on the property. Sadly, we didn't spot any Grouse, but we did see lots of elk signs. Overall, a beautiful wide-open nature space.
