A bit crowded at times but always a treat to both the eyes as well as the taste buds. Some good seafood to be found. If you’re into Route 66 gear check out the “End of the Trail” gift shop right by the iconic sign in the pier. Parking can be found down by the beach or in town a few blocks away. Sunset on the beach is a very memorable experience and great for sunset photos.
The most famous and happening pier near LA I guess. Also this place has another significance to be the end [or the beginning?!] of the 'historic' Route 66. I had some of the best street food over here during daytime, but heard that the hanging restaurants and bars also worth visiting. The fun spikes up in the evening, when everything flashes out in chrome light and singers and musicians perform their own pieces and covers on the boardwalk. The nearby beach is another nice place to chill out.

This place has everything. Activities for kids as well as adults. The pier is spectacular. They've got awesome places to eat, drink and just have a relaxing good time. The beach is huge and fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place for family fun.
Much cleaner than in the past. Creating one large sidewalk on one side makes it easier to get down to the pier. Lots of historical pictures and descriptions on plaques on the walls at the end. Many stores and restaurants to pick from. Some funny entertainment along the way. Lots of people fishing and catching things as well. Bathrooms at the end of the pier and in the restaurants. Wonderful rides in the carnival, which is closed during the pandemic. Park at the Santa Monica Mall parking lots and walk down.
