2020 SORRY NO CANDY CANE LANE THIS YEAR DUE TO COVID WE DID NOT GET PERMITS AND WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Candy Cane Lane is closed for 2020, please do not try to come here this year. There are electronic message boards posted on nearby streets and I just posted a screenshot of the El Segundo City Manager's letter saying that the annual event is not being supported by the city this year. This is unfortunate, but also a good opportunity to create a new way to celebrate the holidays. I hope you find a means of celebration that is safe and fills you and your family with joy.

If you show up here before checking, that's on you. This place is amazing and does not deserve low ratings simply because *you* didn't check before making the trip. Shout out to all the houses that put on such incredible decorations every year, we look forward to visiting again in the future! ud83cudf84

Will always give this place a 5 star review because this place is beautiful. Now heads up to anyone who goes this year. It is technically closed, meaning the neighborhood didn't set up big lighting displays like they did in the past years. Theres probably less than half of lights on and in your car you will be done probably less than 10 minutes. We decided to walk and we still finished very fast. Christmas lights are pretty but most of them are very minimal. If this is longer than a 20 minute drive it didn't seem worth it to us. There were a few houses that went all out but like a handful. You're best bet is to find a neighborhood that has a good amount of lights and drive around there because that's what it felt like we were doing at Candycane lane. We will come support the neighborhood lights when it isn't technically closed. Just a head ups, we went yesterday.
