I am editing my review below to correct the lies and smoke and mirrors of Aurora Motorcars.nPlease keep in mind that I was NEVER told that I would need to put down a deposit to purchase the vehicle. I repeat, had I been told that was a requirement, I would have. Again, just another dirty play out of a used car dealership book.nSecondly, I did mention that there was another vehicle that I was looking at. I evaluated that other vehicle while the salesman was out of town, and decided against purchasing. So when the salesman arrived back in town, I had made up my mind that I was moving forward with the vehicle Aurora Motorcars was selling.nIt should also be noted that I was not even given the courtesy call from Aurora Motorcars saying that they were back in town and ready to move forward with the purchase transaction. Instead, they just assumed that I wasn't serious and moved forward with an out of state buyer. Which by the way was paying full price and didn't require an inspection.nSo you see, had I been given the opportunity to know that the vehicle was being sold out from underneath me, I might have made a counter offer.nThis is sad to post because it gives other honest used dealerships a bad rep. It's just a shame that Aurora Motorcars has to live up to the bad reputation.nIt all worked out for me anyways. I found a more reliable vehicle from an honest seller. I have no worries that I was sold a lemon. Unlike what I most likely would've purchased from Aurora Motorcars.nnBuyer beware!!!! Repeat. Buyer beware!!!!nThe salesman and the owner of Aurora Motorcars are unfortunately the reason why used car salesmen have a bad rep. The lack of honesty, honor, and customer satisfaction are reasons why people should shop elsewhere.nnI spoke with the salesman regarding a vehicle he was selling at Aurora Motorcars. We agreed that I could come pick it up and take it to my mechanic for an inspection. Assuming the inspection came back fair for a 14 year old vehicle with over 200,000 miles on it, I would buy it. The salesman assured me there were no mechanical issues. So we agreed over the phone on a price, barring the inspection.nnDuring that conversation, the salesman told me I would have to wait until he got back in town to come get the vehicle. On the day of his return, I called him at Aurora Motorcars to let him know I was on my way. He told me that he just sold the vehicle to an out of state buyer that was giving cash of full asking price.nnWhen I asked the salesman from Aurora Motorcars why he was no longer honoring our agreement. He told me he couldn’t risk me not buying the vehicle, and loosing out on a cash full asking price offer, with no contingencies of a mechanical inspection. In addition to that, he said that it’s just part of the business, and that he needed to make overhead for Aurora Motorcars.nnHe also tried blaming me because I did not put down any earnest money to hold the vehicle. One, he didn’t ask me to do that, or else I would’ve. Two, how was I going to give him any money when he was out of town.nnFurthermore, if there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, why was he so quick to sell to someone that wasn’t going to have an inspection done. Just another red flag.nnSo when I told the salesman from Aurora Motorcars that I am out a half of days pay for taking off work to buy the vehicle. He told me that we never had an actual agreement and that this wasn’t his fault. Again another red flag.nnI asked to speak to the owner of Aurora Motorcars, and was told he would have him call me. The owner never called me, so I’m guessing customer satisfaction, honor, and honesty is not something that is practiced much at Aurora Motorcars. No doubt making overhead for the business was more important.nnI am thankful this all happened. The vehicle was for my daughter. Clearly there was something wrong with the vehicle. Or else Aurora Motorcars would not have been so excited to sell to an out of state buyer that was not having the vehicle inspected. My daughters life is not worth any vehicle purchase from Aurora Motorcars.
