As others have said - Dean and his staff are friendly, down-to-earth and do quality work in quick fashion. They do only what is necessary and there has NEVER been any kind of pressure or sales games to have work done that isn't necessary. Very honest people who will continue to get my business.

What's most important about your mechanic is the idea that you can trust them - they will not gouge you or repair things that aren't broken or cheat you in any way.nnI trusted Dean, the old owner. So, when my girlfriend's ex-husband bought a car for their son from a private sale without having it checked out by a mechanic, then had a ton of problems, I recommended Loyal Oak (now LO Auto Repair). Carmen is the new owner.nnCarmen earned my trust with a methodical explanation of all the things that were wrong on this car, and showed me. I'm pretty mechanically inclined myself, so I knew that he was telling the truth about all the things he pointed out - that this car was a complete disaster.nThe following week, I sent my son there for a relatively minor brake repair and Carmen charged a very fair price.nnAlso, Carmen will perform a pre-purchase mechanical check on a car that you are considering buying for a very reasonable $35. Never EVER buy a used car without having it checked out by a mechanic that you trust!

Dean has worked on all three of my cars, my moms 2 cars, and my dads 3 trucks. He is reliable and great with our all of our cars. Terry and Shannon have worked on all of our cars for years and many more to come. Newsom automotive is the best shop to take your cars to no matter what. He has served the davidson family well!
