This was my first ride at cedar point, and it did not let me down. I'd suggest it as a good first ride for anyone new because it gets you warmed up to the park but still has great thrills
Listen. I love this ride more than I love myself. This coaster is fantastic and paved the way for so many other fantastic coasters. If this ride hurts you physically I'm sorry to hear that but to me it's not as bad as everyone says. It has a perfect balance of airtime and intensity, something every good arrow should have. Bringing back the effects in the third tunnel was genius, I highly recommend riding at night, the effects make you feel like your ascending to another plane of existence. 10/10 would recommend
Still a great roller coaster. It has all the height you need, all the speed you need and tunnels of course. A little rougher than it used to be in the past but still a great ride. Beautiful views of the Lake Erie shoreline included. You have to go on it.
Magnum XL-200 is a very unique coaster - the airtime created by the sharp hills on the return run is an experience that newer coaster designs can't quite match. The imprecision of the older construction techniques actually works in Magnum's favor for most of the ride.nnHere's 2 tips for anybody who thinks it hurts: first, tighten the seatbelt as far as possible, and then you won't hit the lap bar as hard. In addition, don't sit in the third row of any of the 6 cars in the train if you think it's rough, as those seats are directly over a wheel. The seat you sit in can dramatically affect the ride experience on any coaster, and Magnum is no exception.nnOverall, it ranks as my third-favorite at the park after Steel Vengeance and Maverick, and I hope it stays at Cedar Point for years to come!
We laughed our tails off the entire ride. Long past its heyday and nowhere near a top thrill coaster anymore. But it is still a really fun coaster to jump on and get the blood flowing. Especially when the line is small enough to get in 3 or 4 quick runs while you kill time waiting for your time slot!
