Brandeberry Winery

Stopped here on a late Friday afternoon. When opening the door it was slammed shut and we were told the tasting room was closed. We had to order at the window, once the girl put her chicken strips down. We sat at a side patio as it was raining. We were offered to move to the tent but it wasn't well lighted, no heater lit, and in the rain and wind the sides were flapping open. The tent looks to be the type you would rent for a wedding, it sits about 25 ft from the back door of their house. We were not offered a menu for any type of cheese plate, etc. Our flights came in little plastic cups on a paper plate! We downed them and left. What a joke.

I booked a reservation from 7pm - 9pm with the fire pit for me and 5 friends. I did this online and received a confirmation. We arrived at 6:50pm. The woman at the window said there was a group at the fire pit already but she would send a staff member to tell them that the next group of people with reservations has arrived. When we walked around to the fire pit a few minutes later the previous group was still there and no other fire pits were lit. They told me that they were staying because they were told they could as long as they paid for the next two hours, which they stated they had. When we told the people at the window they said there was just some miscommunication and that they would have another fire lit. So we waited for 15 minutes before the employee came to make the fire. It took him another 15 minutes to get it going, so now it’s 7:30. Five minutes later, the fire went out. We called them on the phone and asked for them to help with the fire again. Another 15- 20 minutes went by before the fire started again. We paid for 2 hours at the fire pit and only got to enjoy maybe 1 hour of it. It was disappointing that we weren’t offered a refund for the 1 hour lost or another night at the fire pit for free, anything would have seemed like the right thing to do. But all we got was, a “sorry your fire went out”. I’ve visited this place several times and have never had an issue before. This situation was not handled appropriately and I’m disappointed not one employee even tried to make things right.

Great night a little cool but the wine was great and the singer was awesome. Had a great time will come back soon.

The staff were attentive and helpful! Every wine we sampled had good flavor and was very smooth. We did not try any dry wine though. Be mindful of evenings they have music as they do NOT do the sampler flights. We had a watermelon slushy and it was the best wine slushy (not too tangy or bitter) my hubby and I both had every had! Think we have a new favorite! Worth the hour drive for a nice date night!

Wine was good. Cheese plate was basic. Service was not good.
