Sila Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical

I have been using Sila since moving into my home, they are consistently responsive, effective, competent, professional, and helpful whether you use them for routine maintenance/service or during emergencies. As an added bonus they are friendly and easy to interact with. If looking for additional information, I have had Ivan T. come to my house twice and each time he was friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgable! I was pleased that with this years standard service they were able to send him out specifically given such positive prior experiences.

In 2013 Sila installed a mini-split ductless system in my home with 3 interior units. When the install was done I had to ask them to come back because the outside compressor was sitting on the ground (research had revealed that they need to be bolted to a base). They reluctantly did so, bolting the compressor to some wood pieces.nnIn 2017 we had them add one more compressor to the system with an additional interior unit (really wish I had hired someone else but hindsight is 20/20). This time the exterior compressor bolted to a metal base about 10” off the ground (guess by then they had learned the correct way to install a unit).nnSeveral times we have hired them to service the system. Their customer service is horrible. They are always late, never call to let us know they will be late and have cancelled last minute because we did not have a service contract even though we scheduled appointments with them months in advance.nnThis month (Sept 2020) we discovered black mold in the interior units - who know that could become an issue? Sila certainly let us know that it was an issue with these types of systems. I am allergic to mold and have asthma so my health was at risk and we had to stop using the system. When I called Sila to schedule a deep cleaning they said, “We don’t do deep cleaning on those systems, look for someone else on Angies List.” I was appalled and left a message for the manager who NEVER CALLED ME BACK!nnThankfully Angie’s List delivered and we hired Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning who were able to come out on one day’s notice. Their customer service was EXCELLENT and our system is now back up and running.nnI will NEVER use SIla again, nor would I recommend them to anyone! Beware!

I have used Sila for heating/ac for about 5-6 years; I am very satisfied with the service. Sometimes they come FASTER than originally expected, which is great. John, out of Stoneham, has serviced my ac at least twice now. He is professional, very personable; he always explains exactly what he is doing/parts he is replacing; which helps me learn about my system. He gives me choices of what to do; which I appreciate. He's always clear and specific in his explanations. I appreciate having him come to work on my system. Today, a hot, muggy day; I got my ac problem fixed in less than 1 hour; I'm a happy camper.

The technician who came to both inspect and view our problem at home was Anthony. He is a wonderful person, attentive and funny with a positive attitude. After inspecting the issue, he gave us our options without pressure and let us decide on how we would want the fix. Anthony was prompt and fixed our situation quickly. Would definitely recommend Anthony (Tony) to everyone for their HAVC issues.

John showed up with mask and foot covers on. Was very knowledgeable, and assessed our central ac quickly. Gave us good recommendations on which services to use to keep our system running at optimal efficiency. Did a great job explaining why we would need the services recommended.
