A great little dispersed camping site with a small area for tents (don’t expect to get more than a group of campers into that space though) and a small car park that could fit maybe 5 cars at a tight squeeze. Port a potties for those who need them and maps but no trash cans or potable water. Beware of ticks since there are signs everywhere about them and the local chipmunk population will want to see if you’ve left any food. Cell reception is poor.

Hiked in pitch dark. Hung a hammock. Woke up soaking wet. Very quiet area in the off season.

The scenery is breathtaking.nThe nearest tent site is literally out of site. Quiet. Awesome!

Great isolated place to swim, fish, kayak or camp. Lots of flies and insects so pack bug spray. No drinking water available nearby but you can purify water from the pond.

This is a neat area for just waling or camping. There is limited parking up by Potomac Road, but I've seen quite a few times where there is overflow onto the road with day hikers. Don't think it's a problem during the day, but if I were camping here, I'd probably come up to the car after the day people left and make sure my car was in the lot. Lots of primitive places to set up camp, some right around the pond and some just a hop, skip and a jump away. I always see people fishing here, but have never in years and years seen anyone actually CATCHING anything, so not sure what to say about that! There are TONS of inter-connecting trails to and from here, so you could keep busy for a whole weekend checking the area out by foot. Lots of quiet country mostly-flat back roads perfect for riding bikes on, too.nnOf course, can't find any of our pictures we've taken here, but if and when I do, I'll add them in. Neat place to relax for the weekend, and a secret of the Finger Lakes, to most! (people usually ask us, the Finger Lakes National WHAT?! and they've never heard of such a thing!)
