Twin Oaks

Stay away. Lots better places in the area, kind, gracious owners abound, no reason to put up with being abused as a camper. My husband and I have been wary to book here as we have heard some negative feedback about the owners, but it’s very close to home and decided we should make the decision for ourselves. We booked well in advance for a week stay and our children were very excited to try somewhere new. I called a week in advance to our stay and asked if we could check in early, the owner (male) told me we could and we could even come the night before, which wasn’t necessary as we were coming directly from another campsite. We showed up on the morning of our reservation, buzzed to have the gate lifted and the other owner (female), answered the buzzer quite course, and obviously flustered. I told her our name and she immediately started yelling at us through the buzzer, telling me we were too early, I tried to explain I had spoke to someone, she continued on her tirade even coming out of the office to yell at us in person. I told her I would simply take our camper home and come back later, even though we were booked for early check in. Her behavior was upsetting and I thought it would be best to let her calm down. My husband did enter the office and tell her he didn’t appreciate her speaking rudely to us, camping is usually an enjoyable experience after all. We proceeded to leave without further incident and headed home for a few hours. However before we pulled in our driveway the female owner called and told us we were not welcome back. Shocking, but probably for the best, that kind of environment and the energy of the owners is very upsetting to say the least, but appalling is probably a better description.

Beautify well maintained was one of the best camp grounds we have stayed at. The lake was beautiful the pool was glorious and the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely be back!!!

Great privately owned campsite. Several full service hookups for trailers. Beautiful place with a little 7 acre lake. It was an enjoyable stay. The staff was pleasant and always there when needed.

Meant with aggression upon arrival, 3 x family 5 camper, verbally abusive owners, Although owners apologized hours later, It left a lasting experience for my children & friends who were joining us..Its a beautiful camp ground, clean bathrooms, scenery stunning. Grace in staying, allowing others to be who they are without taking it personally. BE BLESSED IN YOUR JOURNEY!

We have a seasonal site here. Just love it. Very well kept and it's peaceful. They do have sites for weekend's.
