This trail could easily be a 5 star, if they only spent more attention to the maintenance of this trail. Don't get me wrong the bike/walk pathway is great. There is no unstable footing and the trail is very smooth. My issue is the caretaking of the grass and benches. To many areas of the trail is overgrown with weeds. So much so, that many of the benches are not even worth trying to sit at. Some of the benches need to be changed out, because they are so rusted out. But again the actual path is great, and well worth coming to enjoy it. I am not sure how far this trail stretches out mile wise, but we started at black rock and ended up at Tonawanda. During this stretch you pass boat docks, water pump houses, and a restaurant called River Grill. I will be coming back
