Malissa Larson. Doula. CD DONA

I will be eternally grateful that I found Malissa and had the privilege of having her on my team for the birth of my second son. Her energy throughout my pregnancy regularly helped me re-center and stay focused on my goals. Striving for an unmedicated VBAC, I had so many ups and downs; but each encounter with Malissa brought confidence and excitement about my birth goals. I’m thrilled to say that I was successful and had the most amazing VBAC! And I cannot think about my experience without feeling Malissa’s presence, energy, and support, she was such a positive part of my birth. She’s invaluable and I cannot recommend her enough.

Malissa is a wonderful doula and yoga teacher (and person!). She was a calm and nurturing presence at both my my home births. For my first birth I started having very intense contractions but it was almost midnight and I didn’t want to wake anyone if it wasn’t needed. Malissa came over right away though and she confirmed my instincts to call the midwife, which she did and told the midwife to come over right away. I don’t remember much after that haha except the birth of my daughter which was a few hours later after a long time of pushing. With my second birth I was more aware of what was happening around me and I was able to laugh and talk between contractions and I lividly remembering Malissa helping me during the contractions with my breathing. It must’ve worked because our little babe was born quickly after only one long push. I would highly recommend Malissa, she helps you to feel calm and confident. She also took pictures for us (we didn’t have a birthing photographer) AND she helped clean the birthing pool!

I highly recommend Malissa! She is extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout your whole process.
