Superb. The meals are great, we had fried clams and a fried chicken sandwich this last visit, and all components were great! The clams were cooked just right, nice light batter and not too greasy, good fries, excellent coleslaw. And the tartar sauce tasted fresh and homemade. The chicken was also cooked well, fresh lettuce & tomato, and is that a homemade brioche bun? Excellent! We sat in the bar, great selection of beers and if you're not sure, ask for a free sample :) We have also had lobster fried haddock, grilled haddock, clam chowder, tuna, various salads, ice cream - everything is good! A great place to sit outside on a nice day.

First time back in a while and seeing the updated menu. Some great new choices but still many of the favorites are available. Great selection of craft beer too - a number of which are crafted on-site. Food is still great - hot, fresh and with ample serving sizes. The staff treats you like family and are most attentive to keeping drinks filled and the customer happy. Sadly for me and my sweet tooth they seemed to have a smaller variety of dessert choices. An impressive list of ice cream, sherbet and sorbets with a seasonal pie is available. (Though no one could ever go wrong getting their homemade ice cream). However, all hope is not lost as they now have their own bakery on-site with some of the tastiest and most creative pastries, muffins and more around. Prepare to wait for seating on the weekends. They do not take reservations. Young to old and every one in between will find some thing they'll love at Johnsons! Just go already!

Great beer selections from the brewery next door and great steaks,, seafood, and sandwiches make this a regular visit for us. We like the bar area a lot and are happy to see live music returning. They have excellent specials and offer exceptional two for one dinner entrees on certain nights. And be sure to take home some of their great ice cream as you leave.

This is must try place. It seems to always be pretty busy but worth the wait. I haven’t had the pleasure to try much of the menu but I can tell you what I did order was very good! I would say the shrimp tacos is a absolute favorite. I’m a little iffy on my fried clam strips because it seems to be more batter then clam and maybe a little over cooked. I also don’t usually get my seafood fried so my opinion is to be taken lightly. We also tried quite a few of their beers and cocktails. The beer menu is huge and I would recommend doing the flights to get a taste of them all! The cocktails were a little of a surprise because they were really good.
