Bill was wonderful although he could have been a little taller. His 60+ years of spending summers in the park, his seasonal park ranger and Coast Guard Captain street cred made for a very enjoyable 8 hour Five Lake cruise.nnHis uncanny eyesight was able to spot the eye color of several loons and the tick on the Eagle’s leg.nnHis stories were mostly true though he did giveaway a few tall tales like how he asked the Ojibwa God the night before to calm the waters and paint the sky blue for us.nnI know we would hire him again in a New York minute. Would even buy him a drink or two at the Arrowhead Lodge afterwards.nnHere’s to Bill. Smooth seas!
To best enjoy Voyageur National Park, you need a boat. Not just a 10 h.p. Johnson ! Go with seethepark.comn(Border Guide Service)nBill has a new boat with twin engines and knows the lake like the back of his hand. We had a great time. He is extremely knowledgeable, as he grew up living here and he is also a park ranger.nHe showed us most of the parks highlights and filled us with wonderful stories of the area.nThere are many stops and things to see. Eagles are abundant.nI highly recommend Bill and any of his tours.
My husband and I had a 8 hour private boat tour with Captain Bill yesterday and it was an amazing experience. Bill is a great story teller and his knowledge of the area and history was amazing and he spent the day telling us about it. He took us to all over and to many spots. We saw eagles and loons. I highly recommend taking a tour with Bill.
This was the best thing we did while in the National Park. The 5hr Kettle Falls boat tour covers all of the coolest locations in the park. Bill has endless knowledge of both the history of the area and current happenings. His personal history in the area the last 60 some years offers stories you'll never find anywhere else. Perfect family activity.
Bill was great, and took us on a tour of the park. We made many interesting stops and he shared history and stories along the way. Definitely recommend him!
