Wonderful park. So many things to explore. Lots of great paths, awesome playground. Nature center is great.nSledding hill - not much of a hill! My only negative comment on this park is they list it has a 'sledding hill'. It does have a tiny hill, that is clear for sledding, but its only worth it if your kid is under the age of 6.

We live a short distance from this Park, and we know every trail here. Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring we are there. Walking or biking, and sometimes Skiing and snowshoeing, there's always time. We have seen many different animals, birds, and fish in Hyland lake. It's a gem to this Community, and we hope it continues.nR&K

I've been coming to this park for years for walks and biking. Tried the kayak rental a few weeks back and had a blast. Rates are a few dollars less than some other places I've visited. The staff was also friendly and helpful at the rental office which made for an easy first experience.

We visited the Richardson Nature Center part of the Hyland Park Reserve. We walked several trails covering about 3 miles. The trails wander through forests and a lovely prairie section. The beautiful center is closed due to COVID 19 but the restrooms were open. A few of their many nature programs are still being scheduled. The winter snow and frozen lake added to the beauty. This a delightful park and can be enjoyed all year round.

I am a beginner snowboarder (today is my 3rd day) and I went snowboarding at highland hills. The place is great but I wish they groomed a little more often and it’s a little small. With not that much room to grow unless you are going to do park. So all considered 3-4 stars.
