We planned a family stay for 3 days/2 nights. During our stay, the big water slide was open for maybe 5 hours. We would ask the staff when the slide was going to open, and they would say 11:00. 11:00 would come, still not open. They would say 12:00. 12:00 would come, still not open. Repeat a bunch of times.nnNone of the body tubes were open during our entire stay.nnOne of the pools was shut down for half a day.nnThe body boarding attraction was shut down for half a day.nnOne of the bowling lanes was broke and shut down.nnWe wanted to order wings with our pizza, and they ran out of grease, so they couldn't provide the wings on the day they were offering a wing special.nnThe ropes course was closed for half a day.nnLuckily our stay is during the week as there is a capacity limit on the pool area. We were not affected by this because it wasn't packed like I anticipate it would be on the weekends.nnAsked the lady at the front desk why the attractions were shut down and she blamed it on staffing issues. Your guests shouldn't pay that much money and have to suffer disappointment for you lack of staff.nnOverall, would have had a blast at this establishment if all of the attractions would have been available to utilize during our stay. Very nice place. Clean. Mostly friendly staff (except for the crabby girl at the ropes course check in). For what you pay, you should be able to enjoy all the attractions. Need to be a little more transparent with the possibilities of the attractions being shut down. Very disappointing.
Stayed here a couple times now. They make the experience as fun as possible for our little ones, and the rooms have been super clean and very nice in every way possible. We had some minor concerns at last visit that the fine folks at the front desk addressed immediately and to our total satisfaction. 10/10 would recommend for anyone needing a short getaway with an amazing indoor water park. The water is warm (not hot), and even our infant loved it. The additional activities (“Paw Passes”) are well worth it as well. The Lodge does not skimp on anything.
Overall, it was a very fun experience. The water park is large and warm, and provides people of all ages something fun to do. The kiddie pool is perfect for toddlers and babies, with plenty of fun and interactive things to play with. The lazy river provides a good place for a person of any age to have fun and relax. The activity pools include basketballs and hoops as well as a cool lily pad jumper where the goal is to get to the other end without falling into the water entirely. There are plenty of tube, body, and large tube slides for teenagers and adults to enjoy, as well as a body board device where you can learn to body board! A few drawbacks were the fact that the pool lacked an area to free swim with a deep end as well as hot tubs, so it's hard to find a place to just float and relax. The other attractions in the hotel are definitely aimed towards children between the ages of 4 and 12, as their attractions are generally smaller and less advanced. Would definitely return to go swimming though!
Vegas for kiddos...Disneyland prices for parents.
I cannot say enough great things about our stay!! Our youngest kiddo has Down syndrome and a Gluten allergy!! Every eating place within the hotel went above and beyond for our little guy!! A huge shout out to Kaylyn for helping us throughout the day at each restaurant!! The water park was amazing as always even though all the slides weren’t open mid week! Can’t wait for our next visit!!
