I was a little shocked by the low ratings for this place. I was a customer of Shomler’s for several years and was really worried when I heard they sold the business to River Rat. Last year was my first time dealing with River Rat. I coordinate an annual canoe trip on the Pine River and always want to make sure that the boats are good, customer service is friendly, and overall the business operates efficiently. Boy was I relieved when everything turned out fantastic in July 2017. It was Fourth of July weekend so there were a lot of customers that needed to be taken care of. All of the boats were in great condition, dealing with the staff was beyond pleasurable (very personable), and the biggest perk by far....they were extremely timely on picking my group up from the campsite and shuttling all of us to and from the Pine. I will definitely be using them again in 2018. I hope the excellent service continues.

Great place, super accommodating in the after summer season for just a buddy and I to go down the Pine. Grateful for them to get us down the river

The price to rent was astronomical to rent, and you are charged $8/person to ride the bus a short distance. We waited an hour for the bus to take us to the drop off which was less than 10 minutes away. Additionally, we had to tell the bus driver which equipment was needed for him to gather for our canoes/kayaks because it was not gathered for us beforehand. At the pick up, we waited another 45 minutes for the bus meanwhile Bosman’s had taken two different groups back to their location. Highly dissaliinted by the new owners and this operation.

Used this company for our canoe trip this year. Wasn't the best experience but they are a new business and we will give them another try next year. Water craft was fine bus service not so great.

Horrible customer service with the new owners. We called three times and were given bad directions. We were told to get there by 3:45 PM. We got there on time and the man was aggressive and rude. He lied and said he heard her tell us 3:30 pm. We started to leave. He then approached our car, was verbally and physically intimidating us, blamed us some more, tried to prevent me from shutting the window, then flipped us off.nnDO NOT GO HERE!
