I went in this shop late last year to look at bikes. I saw the price tags on the yetis and asked if they had any demos. The guy behind the counter told me, while he was sitting on his stool eating....I have a couple of $8000 builds in the back he could give me 20% off of. I explained to him I don’t have any sponsors and don’t enter races. I just want a nice bike to ride the foothills on. He shrugged his shoulders. Then the lady there said they don’t have anything under $5300. I kinda felt like they were wanting me to leave so they could finish their eating of lunch. That was a very unpleasant exp and I told myself I wouldn’t be back. I am seeing the new yetisb115 on the yeti sight and thought.... maybe I’ll give this place another chance. I call to inquire and the message on the phone is... sorry, the call volume is so high that we can’t answer calls. We are not taking new clients so if you didn’t purchase your bike here, we can’t help you. Please leave a message. I thought..... wow.... ok, I’ll leave a messsge, only to get aNother message that their mailbox is full. So if I have a question, I have to drive over there I guess because they don’t answer their phone and you can’t leave a message. Very.....very unprofessional! I would never purchase a bike here. If I decide on a yeti, I’ll drive to Santa Fe. The yeti distributor there answered the phone and was very helpful and pleasant. If you like being around bike snobs and have a minimum of $5300 to spend, then this might be the place for you.
I have owned a mountain bike now for 6 weeks and have already taken it to Bikeworks three times for a wide variety of services. The first was cable adjustments on my brand new bike, done in a timely manner so I could get out riding the next time I wanted to, and at a reasonable price. The second time I brought the bike in was to have a pair of carbon handlebars trimmed and put on, along with a stem and a couple other extras, again done timely and reasonably priced. The third time was just two hours before they closed on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving as while on a ride I got a puncture and the tire could not be repaired. I ended up just getting two new tires put on and they got it done while I waited no less. Two brand new Maxxis tires they obviously had in stock, the exact tires I wanted as well, put on and ready to go so I did not miss any of the three rides I had planned for the Thanksgiving holiday. I really appreciate how they can accommodate even emergency repairs, as well as overnight new parts put on and services. I do not give my loyalty to a business lightly, but my mountain bike will always be taken to Bikeworks.
Bikeworks is Great! They fixed the dropper seat post on my wife's ebike super-fast putting a massive smile on my face in-time for another weekend of shredding. They are extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and very friendly. Highly recommend! A+++
Broke a couple spokes and these folks were able to fix the wheel about a day. There were a couple other bike shops that quoted anywhere from a week to 12 days. Same price. Glad I checked on this place. Think I'll take some more business their way!
If you’re looking for that neighborhood bike shop, look no further. This is exactly the type of place I’ve been trying to find since I moved here. Great, helpful and very knowledgeable staff. Couldn’t be happier.
