Oscoda / Tawas KOA Holiday

My two friends and I reserved a premium grass site. There was full grass coverage, which was perfect for our tent, and the site was clean. The entire campground and restrooms/showers were kept very clean. The staff is extremely friendly, informative, and prompt when delivering ice and wood to site.nThe campground is perfectly positioned between Oscoda and Tawas and we took advantage of exploring both cities during our stay! We will definitely be going back!

Great stay great location next to every thing on the west side of Michigan. Owners super friendly and helpful, made accommodations for our tow behind trailer to park so we could have full use of our sight. Campground and camp sights were not packed in tight plenty of room between sights. All clean and well maintained, can't say enough about this Campground.

I LOVED my stay here! I went up with my family for a weekend of fun! We had the best time! The facility is awesome! The staff was great which made our trip even better! The facility was clean despite the pandemic, we felt comfortable and safe! The amenities were awesome too! If I could rate this campground 15/10 I would! Can’t wait to go back next year with friends!

We booked a last minute trip on July 12 for the weekend of July 17. Im surprised there was even a site available since I called over 20 campgrounds for a site with no luck. We are glad we did. We grew up with a KOA where we live which is so commercialized if that makes sense. Our hometown KOA has everything imaginable under the sun from go karts, Putt putt, bumper boats, etc.nnThe Oscoda/Tawas KOA is just the opposite but we aren’t complaining! It had a nice up north feel to it and it’s more of a laid back campground which is right up our alley!! We were first greeted at the front and an employee led us in his golfnCart to our campsite! He explained everything at the site and went on his way! I have never had that before and it was a nice service they provided. The park is at the end of a dead end road so there is no other traffic other than the campers! This might be exaggerating a little but I feel like every 5 minutes we see a employee riding around on the golf carts going somewhere! I feel like the staff is Always working hard to keep the campground running efficiently!nnThere are a decent amount of cabins in the back of the campground that look spacious and we have already decided next year we will back with our families! They have sites next to the cabins so we will be able to be close to our family as well.nnOverall a nice campground that feels like a State park based on the location and amount of trees surrounding the campground!

This is a great place to camp. The staff are great, there is a pool, playground and other things for the kids. Lots of amenoties along with things to do in town. It is real quiet. Lots are bigger then normal with fire rings and picnic tables. Several small cabins and lots for tents. Very clean and they sell firewood that is delivered and pick up trash in the morning. Highly recommended.
