I don’t remember the name of the officer that helped us out, he was a bicycle cop stationed in Wells who said he was based in Oqunquit. He went out his way to provide us with detailed directions to where we could find free on street parking near the beach as we didn’t want to pay the daily rate at a lot. He didn’t have to go out of his way to do that but it was definitely appreciated.
I’ve had nothing but great experiences in this town for many years, but was recently disappointed with An officer (whom i know personally) when he refused to cameo in my latest YouTube video. My intention was to contest the ignorant (but somewhat popular) opinion that the police forces in this country are evil. I love the blue and back the blue, but when I’m trying to help and the blue denies me, my love is scorned. Hence the one star. Shame on you, shame on Ogunquit.
I would like to give a BIG SHOUT-OUT to Officer Anthony Dumont who recovered my stolen I-Phone. It was stolen from me last night from a local restaurant. The next day (June 23) I reported it to the Ogunquit Police. With some very savvy hi-tech detective work, Officer Dumont was able to trace my phone to the residence it had been taken to, and recover it. He did this in less than an hour! My sincere thanks, Officer Dumont!
