My friends and I had breakfast here. Great service, friendly, clean, beautiful location and my eggs benedict was perfect!! My friends had dinner there night before and tried the amazing pies! Highly recommend Helen's if you're hungry in Machias!
I was telling my family about the greatest piece of pie I ever had in my life. It was 1980 or 1981 and it was at Helen’s in Machias, ME. It was such a legendary piece of pie that 40 years later I wanted to make sure Helen’s got credit.
Friendly staff and amazing food! They are super knowledgeable about food allergies and cross contamination. They have a dedicated fryer to do lots of different gluten free dishes safely.nnThere sweet potatoes fries are to die for!
Shame how this is the only place in town, so the restaurant market is cornered. Insanely overpriced fried fish and scallops. Fries are always soggy. Waitstaff is very lax and somewhat rude. Rather goto to the Rivers Edge Drive in, staff is always friendly and the food is priced accordingly and always consistent.nHelens is a glorified tourist trap that has lost their way.
