A beautiful place for a SHORT walk. Well-marked, wooded trail featuring a picnic table and views of the marsh. The trail itself is probably .5 miles or less.nnIf you're still up for more hiking afterward, pop over to big falls preserve right on the other side of the train tracks, down Woodman Rd. 4 miles south there is also Pineland Farms or Pisgah Hill.
Nice short level loop trail. Exposed roots make footing tricky for balance-challenged folk. Great for little kids who aren't up for more than a thirty minute hike.
Easy to find (trail-head directly off the roadway) and a nice easy stroll. There is access to hunting and fishing as well as a half mile walk through the woods. A nice spot, especially for children, as it's not a long walk and there is no noticeable change in elevation. You'll hear road traffic and the occasional cargo train passing through.
Fun family hiking area.
This is a short but pleasant walk between train tracks and bog.
