I really like hiking the Knobstone trail, but this trailhead could use some more signage. Upon pulling into the parking lot I only saw one trail (the one going north) and took it thinking that maybe it would lead down the hill to the trail going south (like a couple of the other trailheads). Long story short, it doesn't. I later found that the southbound trail is tucked in the woods back along the driveway into the parking lot. It (unlike the nothbound segment) does have a little sign, but its hard to see when you drive in to the lot.
A little more than halfway, North-bound, on a thru hike of the Knobstone Trail: great resupply point and easy to find.
Great tail going south with no logging for forty years. Only you can keep it that way! You can hike 8 miles and never cross a road.
Very easy to locatew
Be careful parking here when it's muddy unless you have a 4x4. Trail is treacherous in places.
