The teachers were def not qualified!!! The professor we had for accounting worked a full time day job and was too tired by the time she got to class so she was unprepared and grumpy. Little to no help for students struggling. Currently the college is on acceditation probation, and not taking new students 🤔 I refused to sign a 2ndMPN that would have allowed this school to take out loans whenever they wanted for 2 years totalling 75k.. I couldn't bring myself to sign the note knowing I was getting a quality education at All
I've gone to three different colleges, and this is by far one of the worst, and not even because of the education. It's because of the constant lying and manipulation they do just to get you in the door. It's an online college posing as an on-ground college. They'll give you some classes in person, but rest assured more than half of your classes will be online. You have little to no control over your schedule or what classes you will take. You can't even shop teachers within the college. Their VA assistance is laughable, and after all is said and done, I'd highly suggest reading everything because I found out they filed student loans in my name without my permission when I finally had enough and dropped out. None of these credits will transfer, either, so now I've wasted both time and money with them. Steer clear of Stevens-Henagar for sure.
I earned a BS in Computer Science focused on Software and Mobile Applications Development here. The classes are fast paced and at times challenging. I participated in the Tech Junkies tech club, and started a programming club with some other future programmers. The one on one time with the teachers and deans was wonderful. As I neared the end of my degree the career councilor helped me land an internship at an amazing company, which has since hired me on full time. If your willing to put in the effort, Stevens-Henagers College will have your back.
If I could give this place negative points, I would. I was so excited to be at this school, I was even willing to drive from Salt Lake just to go here, because I thought it was a genuine good school. HA was I wrong. This school, put on their fake faces the first time I went through it. Specifically Juan C. who was probably the most UNPROFFESIONAL person I have ever spoken with, after I had let him know I was looking at other schools. I also was in contact with him to let him know when I was unable to take the HESI entrance exam, and now the school is saying I missed 2 separate appointments. They say they are accommodating, but that is so far from the truth. I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I have received and the unfriendly people I have encountered.
Don't care to help with getting an education and will set you up to fail then force you to pay a ridiculous amount back that isn't properly explained. They will take advantage of you and not care how it affects you.
