Nice campground. Alot to do in area.
Well kept. Nice playground. Showers a little bit hot!
Clean park, the go to place to camp, great fishing spots, only the fish didn't bite, that's alright!, we will get then next time.
Nice hosts.nSome of the trailer sites seemed to lack some privacy and were configured such that the fire pit was very close to an adjacent trailer pad.nA couple people in our group (we had 2 sites across the street from one another) reported hearing horse hooves while sleeping, maybe 1 or 2 AM, followed by some rowdy-sounding campers, but overall we had a nice stay here. Close access to the lodge and trailheads--both the hiking trails in the park and the Sam Vadalabene Trail that runs to Alton.
Great campground, but the shotgun blasts start at about 4:45am. There will be a small break in between. Making you think you might get another few minutes of sleep, until you are violently jerked awake again by the next round of shotgun blasts. Maybe it’s better at the lodge, but I won’t be staying here again during any kind of hunting season.
