Reading the menu about the tenderloin being big enough it needs its own zip code was FAR from the truth. Was barely as big as the regular sized bun that it came on. I realize we’re going through a cold time of the year but all 4 of us were freezing by the time we left. The other 3 girls had been here before and told me how good it has always been in the past but were very disappointed in this evenings experience. I know I won’t be back
Unfortunately not impressed with my lunch. Tenderloin was stringy. Potatoes bites were yesterday's overcooked baked potato. My husband had fish and fries. The fries were previously frozen shoe string fries so nothing special. The fish was ok but lacked flavor. The tarter sauce was flavorful with a nice dill flavor. The staff was very friendly so if I could give them a separate (higher) rating I would.
Best loose meat sandwich you can ever find. The service is the best. The shakes are great. Above all though, the sweet corn cheese balls....untouchable. Highly recommend adjusting your drive to be able to swing by and get a great lunch.
Very friendly staff the maid rite sandwich was great it's a great sandwich shop with a big variety of food to choose from and daily specials and shakes check it out you won't be disappointed it's been in Grinnell for many years keep the tradition alive !
Great home cooked food. Loose meat sandwiches are yummy.
