We stayed in Keokuk by chance, around the corner from the Hawkeye restaurant. Glad we stopped in for dinner. Seating in the lounge had a great vibe. Sarah was one of the best servers to ever do the job. It got busy, but she handled every table quickly taking great care of every one. Bloody Marys were the special that night, they are delicious. Loved shrimp jammers and fried mushrooms from the appetizer menu. White chocolate raspberry cheesecake was also amazing.

Love the food! Larry aways cooks my food PERFECTY. Deana and Larry are LONG TIME friends of mine and they are just awesome to see when I come into The Hawkeye!nnThank you for a great staff, great food and service! Hard to find, usually, and I appreciate it.nnSara waited on me tonight. I had a hard day and upon meeting her as she waited on me, her energy / aura really helped my day. Our waitress, Sarah, was very busy but handled it very well. She was so friendly, my daughter's and I adored her! I would visit again just to see her!nThe food was amazing and we got beyond full.nI was initially concerned about price, we were traveling from Joplin Missouri which is over six hours away and on a budget, but it actually didn't cost as much as I thought it would. It was also very much worth the money and we had leftovers for our return home the next day.nNext time we visit Keokuk we will be returning to visit Hawkeye Restaurant!

This place is awesome! The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and our server Sarah (with an H) was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in town.
