This is a wonderful park. What a surprise to us after living in Montgomery a year to find this park has been just around the corner in the next town. Such a peaceful place to go for a walk. There are a lot of bridges. The park is clean. There are plenty of nice new picnic tables to enjoy. Gorgeous flowers and fun to watch the ducks or go fishing. The children loved the playground. Definitely go here for a picnic or to let the kids run around.

What an awesome park! They had playgrounds equipment, fantastic walking trails and a boat launch along with many areas to enjoy a picnic.

The Gold Star park has a large boat ramp, playground equipment, restrooms, picnic tables, and a nice walking trail with a beautiful view of the historic bridge and the Coosa River. Lots of ducks enjoy the area as well as humans.
