Food food cook time a little long
This particular Cracker Barrel is one of the better ones that I've been too. Decided to stop here during my travels, I was seated right away and Courtney my server promptly took my order and he was extremely courteous. He kept my drink glass full and even got me one for the road. It being Wednesday, I ordered the broccoli/chicken, it had a great cheese sauce and wasn't dry. Mashed potatoes and turnip greens as sides with biscuits that were actually browned instead of coming out looking like they needed 10 more min in the oven. Butter was frozen as usual, par for the Barrel, however, the biscuits were hot enough to melt it. Food tasted really good at this particular store, Cracker Barrel has gotten inconsistent in food flavoring to me from store to store. However, I give this one 2 thumbs up.
Chicken fried chicken, fries, okra, and green beans. I like Cracker Barrel but this was AWFUL. $6 cake was such a small portion it was 2 bites. Green beans were mushy and swimming. Okra was chewy and dry. Chicken was rubber (more like jerky that you’d chew forever) and the portion of steak fries...there were 8. This was an Uber Eats order...and it was pretty obvious that whoever put this meal together did not care in the least. I’ll never eat at this one again....
