Great place! Made some great and unforgettable memories when we stopped overnight boating down to Florida.

The only place on the river from Demopolis to Mobile to get gas or fuel. Unfortunately, the proprietors are not going to reopen the restaurant.

Sat for 45 minutes. Waitress began waiting on other tables who came after us. Kept looking at us, and never once acknowledged our presence. We are totally disappointed. When we walked in, it was not busy. By the time we left it was packed. Did get a few crackers which were on the table and kept hoping they were going to get our order. Needless to say, we got up and walked out. We have never had this experience here, and may not be back.

It's not fancy. It's not supposed to be.nWhat it is, is a place to get the best Southern Fried Fish around.nnWith warm Southern hospitality, generous portions, and fair prices, you won't find a better place to eat fish. They've been doing this a long time and have it perfected.nnWhile traveling, we make it a point of stopping here anytime we're within 100 miles.nnWARNING!!! It's easy to mess up and eat too much fish and not have room for some of their homemade deserts.nIf you hold your mouth just right, and have a bit of luck, there will be some carrot cake. It's so good, you'll want to hug the cook.

You can't go wrong eating here. Everything is fresh not frozen. The catfish is caught fresh everyday. Great atmosphere, the river is right outside the door. All you can eat catfish is the way to go. They even make their tarter sauce themselves. Can't say enough about this place. Down home Southern hospitality. I'm ready to go back right now...LOL really!
