Fernwood is a simple but beautiful place. I wish they had more trails, since as far as I know theres really only the 3-mile loop. But its a nice walk, moderately challenging but still very accessible. The vistas are nice places to relax for a few.nnAlso its nice that they have unsupervised gun ranges that were recently improved, and free camping. Overall a nice place.
Quiet and picturesque. Just what we needed.
Came here to do some deer hunting and have been out 2 days havent seen 1 deer but the land is awesome .

New shooting range is awesome! Can't believe how nice they made it. I hope people don't destroy it for us! They do need to put out some trash cans or a dumpster. That would go a long way towards encouraging people to clean the place up.
