CEC Electric Starter Inc

i had to have my starter repaired I toke it to Mike at CEC for repairs . they fix all of my problem very happy with the work. thank you Mike.

I had them rebuild a starter for me and I have had nothing but problems since. They seem to know what they're doing but I think they are using cheap solenoids . The first attempt didn't work at all. As soon as I connected the battery terminal the starter motor ran (without engaging the solenoid) until I took it out. They later determined that a little plastic plunger was broken on the solenoid and replaced it. They said they've never seen this before. I kindly doubt it. After I put the starter back on my Jeep it worked for about a week. Now the solenoid is always engaged; spinning with the flywheel and tearing itself apart. I took it out again and the sprocket that cranks the flywheel moves freely along the track. It should not be doing this at all. I took it to them against my better judgement and for lack of a better option so hopefully the third time is a charm. This job should've taken 15 minutes but now I've been broke down for about a week total. If you need a starter go to Advance and use promo codes online. At the time I could've paid $104 from advance. Instead I paid about $90 for them to rebuild it. At this point I would rather have paid $200 and be done with it. Anyway thats my experience. They probably do a good job with alternators and generators. I don't think its the guy who repaired it that messed up. He seemed knowledgable. I think they're saving money by getting cheap solenoids and my troubles are a result of that. Good luck

Good experience taking my starter(s) and they back up the work they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing starter work.
