Location to downtown is good--15 minutes away. We got the last tent spot 52 which wasn't great--right next to the road...it was like it was added as an after thought...The other tent sites weren't bad and if there was more rain--would all be next to a small stream. Great hike up the mountain across from tent area. People who worked there were very nice & bathrooms were not bad and clean. For kids, great spot to hang out--lots of kids & pool area looks fun when it opens. Also cute cats will come welcome you. One went on the hike with us.

We loved staying at Raccoon Mountain. It has a beautiful view of the mountains. There are also many pull through sites which is nice. A lot of the sites also have shade if you are like me and want to stay cool. There is a Walmart and other stores less than 10 minutes away. You are also less than 30 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Rock City, and other outdoor activities.

After visiting some of the other more 'touristy' spots, this was an amazing breath of fresh air! Our guide was a younger guy, but he sure knew his stuff and was fantastic! Pretty sure this was the best cave tour I've ever been on. Will definitely be back for one of the other cave tours and to stay in one of the cute cabins available.

It always surprises me when people in customer service are rude. The gift shop employee had an incredible superiority complex, making my family feel as if we were bothering him with any questions or just our presence in his shop. His tone in itself was enough to taint our experience. Sure the cave was interesting but next time we will choose a place that trains it’s staff to be polite & customer friendly.

Our tour guide Landon was highly educated on this cavern. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge. We had a group of 5. With a total of 10 people. This experience was incredible. Not to many people know of this gem. If ya visit dont forget to bring some cash to tip your tour guide, especially if you're lucky enough to have Landon guide you. Great gift shop so many nice souvenirs to purchase. Make sure you check in at the gift shop. Buy tickets on line. Parking is close and easy. Camping look great. Nestled beautifully at the base of the cavern entrance. Must wear a mask and social distance.
