Extremely well kept grounds, and a spectacular 365 degree Nashville view at top of a short hike. Replica cannons, a historical marker and photo board, and new marker with tribute to Minnesota troops who died for the Union when taking Shy's Hill on a brutally cold December day. At the peak, the grounds are cleared and never crowded. Three flag poles commemorate the Confederate Army of TN, Union Army of Minnesota, and U.S Flag. If I can find it, I'll include a picture I took 10 years ago of an Abraham Lincoln impersonator at top of battle site. Will also add the new MN marker at base of trail. Solemn, peaceful, beautiful, and well cared for by dedicated volunteers. 10 minute hike, moderate climb. Closed after dusk.

Worth a stop. If you blinking, you'll miss it. Google Maps does a good job of telling you where it's at. Nice for some photos of the two cannons. I went in the warm winter so no snow.

If you're into the history surrounding Nashville, this is a nice place to go. There's a nice info board at the bottom of the hill where you can read up, as well as a historic marker nearby. The view from the top of the hill is pretty fantastic too. My only word of warning is to be prepared for a really steep incline when venturing up the hill.

Cool, small, out of the way park with a great view of green hills

Neet to see the cannons. The trail was too muddy and slippery to make it to the top.
