I first ran this trail with my cross country team. Now I have to admit, this is a very difficult trail. But the scenery there is simply breathtaking; although if you go in the fall, it’s especially beautiful, with all the leaves changing colours. I strongly recommend that you take a run, bike, or even a walk there sometime. I promise you won’t regret it.

Really nice trail system at the Northern Trail Head. If you hike both trails together it is a little under 8 miles. Took me 2 hours 45 minutes to hike both the trails. According to my fitness app there was 970 feet of elevation gain. It's a fun trail because there are no long sections of up, or down. I plan on coming back again soon to see if I can break my record (walking).

Was sad it was closed the first two times I came to maintain the trail but that's obviously needed. Now that its open it was a great hike. We did the Great Wall. Other than a few muddy bits it was a very easy hike with alot of hills big and small. It took us between 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours to complete with a small rest on the bench at the halfway point which was a great addition. Will return for future hikes

Unless you don't want to ride any road to Big Rock and Tower, I suggest parking at the south trail head. Strength in numbers. I have heard of cars getting broken into and there is no level place to park. Not bad for most trail heads but, compared to the north trail head, it is just ok.
