Was told about this place from a couple of guys at work. Not on my normal route going home but was heading right by it so I stopped in. Nice and clean inside. It was 1130 so no lunch crowd yet. My order was promptly taken, though there was a discrepancy between the menu that was posted by a customer and the actual menu. I was wanting the 1/2 chicken plate. Instead settled on the minced BBQ for me and chicken strips for my wife. Everything was delicious. Only issue I had was I ordered sweet potato casserole and was given potato salad and there was no offering of BBQ sauce. Will definitely be back. Real friendly folks

We ate at JTs Woodshed last night and it was delicious. My husband got the barbecue and I got the ribs and they were fantastic! Our service was great even though they were packed. All the sides were homemade too! We will definitely be going back! Wish they were open on Sunday for lunch. Would be a great place to go after church.

I normally don’t have any issues with JT’a Woodshed. On this occasion, I encountered horrible food and horrible customer service. I ordered my food and went to pick it up around 15 minutes later. I got there and I waited an additional 15 minutes for my food. Not terrible to wait longer for fresher food. I finally got my food and headed home. I live less than 2 minutes down the road. I got home and started unloading the bags and was disgusted by what I saw. There was a heavy amount of grease on all of the food. It was not drained before putting in the box. Plus EVERYTHING WAS COLD!! The fries were still frozen!!!! The burgers, fried okra, and onion rings were all soggy and disgusting like they had been sitting for a while. One of my burgers was incorrect and missing chili. The only thing that was right was the hushpuppies. Most of the food ended up in the trash. The store was closed by that point so I couldn’t call up there and complain. I called the next day and explained the situation and I was offered a refund or replacement of the food. I opted for the refund. I didn’t want to have another bad experience with the food since I do like going here. I went up to restaurant and stated why I was there. One of the cooks came out and told me the owner said that I couldn’t get the refund because I didn’t call the night before. I tried explaining the situation of them being closed and not being able to call. She then tried to turn it around and say everything is cooked to order and should have been hot. I agreed that it should have been but it wasn’t and the food was soggy, cold, and disgusting.nnThis is very poor customer service. It is disgustingly so.nnAlso I have pictures but I’m not sure how to upload them to googlennI’m going to contact the owner this evening and will add an update to the situation.
