Loved, the site. Easy access to the river. Did have a campsite that never slept beside us but not obnoxious
It was fun weekend get away. Very peaceful and best of all free. Just be a decent human being and pick up after yourselves!
Lived here practically when I was teenager. Don't expect to catch a ton of fish. That water is shad poor. Many fish just pass through and the best places to fish you need a boat. Road is horrible now. Don't even try with a 4wd. You will probably still drag. Park above and walk down.
This was my first time camping. And, despite no Internet access whatsoever, I can honestly say it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Being able to camp off the side of the road is awesome. Remember your TP and portable if you have it.
