I lived in Darlington for a few years. On my way home from working nights in hospital, I stopped at Hardee's for my treat. Although I was a bit fussy how this old English lady wanted this and not that, I have to say, what a pleasure to go into the store. ALWAYS, gave me what I asked for, the way I asked for, always with a smile. Beautiful, perfect ladies.cThankyou sweethearts. I truly do miss you. Maybe you should come to England and teach this lot manners.xJust remember you are brilliant. X

Employees barely speak because they're so grumpy, roll their eyes at you, congregate in front of customers yelling about personal things. Drink fountains were out of almost everything,, there were no napkins anywhere in the restaurant.nnWorst of all! - My burger had plastic on the bottom of it, when I asked to have it replaced I was met with obviously grumpy and rolling of eyes and barely speaking and no aplogy, the burger I got as a replacement was thrown together with 2 pounds of sauce probably because they were angry to have to remake it. Never going back.

Hardee's is the King of Fast Food (sorry, Burger King, but you've been dethroned). Their chicken biscuit is amazing, especially on those fluffy, buttery biscuits. This Darlington location is great. My girlfriend and I came in before church for a quick breakfast. They took my coupon without any trouble, and even gave me the senior citizen's discount on coffee (I'm only 35, but probably in terrible shape from eating too much Hardee's). Wonderful location.

It has definitely improved from where it began with its food and service, which both reached past satisfactory. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because only a perfect restaurant gets a perfect score
