Johnnie’s is a great spot for an old fashioned onion burger. We both got a double meat burger this visit, but I added lettuce and tomato to mine. I also ordered a bowl of their chili with onions and cheese. I enjoyed their burger and their onion burger is simply classic. The chili was good, too. We always like their tater tots and fries, and we didn’t get them this time, but Johnnie’s onion rings are great, too. Mrs. Flip Out and enjoyed their meals too and it was delicious. Johnnie’s is also spacious and easily accommodates large groups. Service is always prompt and friendly. Definitely worth the drive to El Reno.

We were driving across country and wanted to get an authentic Oklahoma onion burger. We stopped in El Reno to go to Robert's, which has a national reputation. We stopped at a local gas station and asked for directions. All three people there plus one customer said stay away from Robert's, that it wasn't clean, even nasty. Three recommended Johnny's, with one vote for Sid's. So off to Johnny'snnGreat food, super friendly, and clean! I had a single patty cheeseburger, and a coleslaw topped coney dog (new to me). Delicious!

Occasionally, I have had burgers and other items that weren't amazing to say the least. However, on many occasions I've had the most amazing burgers including last night, I had two fried onion cheeseburgers with just pickles and ketchup that were prepared perfectly and we're one of the best things I've tasted ever probably.nnBreakfast there this week was also excellent the service and staff were great. The bacon hash brown biscuit and gravy were very good. The only issue is that for me my wife and 5-year-old it was $43 for three meals. That was for two pancake combos with ham, and my bacon, hash brown eggs, biscuit and gravy. I had coffee, my wife water and son juice. We get the exact same thing at boomerang for about $8 cheaper and Jimmy's egg for about $12 cheaper.

Delicious food. Staff is awesome. Everytime I go in I have my same waitress and she's sweet and persistent. Must try.

Was open Christmas Eve day. Ordered a single onion burger w/cheese & a half order of fries to go. Total was more than $9.50. For the taste & flavor. Including the quick readiness of made to order burger & fries. This lunch will fill a lady. But better order a double for a working man's appetite.
