As a Golfer, Aviator, and retired Military, who loves altitude and cool temperatures, I could not find a better heaven than Mountain Air Country Club in Burnsville, NC. The community is full of great people who love to get together for great meals, parties, and activities. There are activities for our grandchildren who love to come visit for the pool and all the activities planned by the Chautauqua facility from art, to tennis lessons, to nature study. For us, there is golf, tennis, pickleball, hiking, outings, dining, and great people to be with. The club itself is great and going through adding very neat new facilities including a brand-new SPA and exercise facility. The golf course is fair but keep it in the fairway or bring lots of balls! And take a break on 4 and 5 and watch the landings of our members private aircraft. As aviators know, every 1000 feet up is 3 degrees cooler and our elevation of 4600 feet insures a cool summer for us all. My wife and I love Mountain Air and have purchased a great condo here!

I wanted to come out and look at some property. The lady I spoke with told me I had to call King Caldwell banker before I could see any. I don't need to bother a real pain state person until I'm ready to buy. Waste of the time and mine. Picked up a lot in cliffs walnut cove, no hassle at all glad to have me come out and look at my leisure. Huh no wasted time. Run by Republicans!!!!
